This very nice Volvo P 1800 S was delivered new in Sweden on February 21, 1966. The car has a very shiny and nice paint in the original color "Light Green 91". This color was presented in 1966 and only existed in 1966-67. The interior is also very fresh and nice. The latest owner has owned the car for 35 years and it is about 30 years since it was prepared to its current fine condition. The meter reading is probably not correct and may have switched on one or two occasions. Von Braun Sports Cars has updated the car with service, polishing and a new final inspection before delivery. Engine and gearbox with their overdrive work well. The tires are in good condition on the 5.5 inch wide original sports rims. The nicely curved chrome trim on the side disappeared the following year (1967) and shortly afterwards the beautiful instruments and steering wheel were also replaced with black flat instruments and a black plastic steering wheel. The car is in a nice original design except for two things. The original steering wheel has been replaced by a smaller sports steering wheel (they can be bought new or used originals) as well as a time-typical retrofitted glass sunroof that gives the car both personality and a nice light in the coupe. This is a P1800 that you can refuel, drive and enjoy immediately. Since the photo shoot, the car has been updated with new door panels, original steering wheel & new hubcaps.
