A manually shifted 230 SL 1966 of European model that came to Sweden in 2017. The Swedish owner soon had Kindboms Billackering in Jönköping replace the then 51-year-old paint with a new one in the car's red original color 519G. During the autumn of 2021, the guys at von Braun Sports Cars fitted a brand new black convertible top to the car and at the same time replaced a number of rubber strips. Some other quality deficiencies have also been improved on the car's interior and a modern car radio / stereo with a classic look has been installed. A lavish renovation of the fuel pump has also been carried out in 2021. The car is now in a nice and representative condition and at the same time offers the opportunity to improve further with a little something for those who want. In the mid-1980s, a new 2.5-liter replacement engine was installed at Mercedes Benz's. (Same as in 250SL). At some point, carpets and perhaps even parts of the upholstery have probably been changed as these are in a better condition than what can be expected on a car from the 60's. Since the car is more than 50 years old, it is exempt from both tax and inspection in Sweden. It is allowed to drive in all environmental zones and cheap to insure. The Mercedes 60's Pagoda is a wonderful classic. It is found in most celebrities' collections and is a "must" in every collector garage.
